The State Food Commission, Haryana has been constituted under Section 16 of the National Food Security Act, 2013 for the purpose of monitoring and review of implementation of the Act in the State.
The Commission monitors delivery of entitlements under the Targeted Public Distribution System, the Mid-Day Meal Scheme and the Integrated Child Development Services, hears appeals against orders of the District Grievance Redressal Officers, and advises the State Government on effective implementation of the Act.
